6 Months out in the Black - Some Stats

My first expedition has finally come to an end.

6 months ago I set out to visit Sagittarius A*.

I've reached there 2 months later but not being satisfied I extended my expedition and went further, into the Sagittarius Arm and eventually into the Orion Spur until I've finally reached home.
I actually ignored everything for the last 1kly and just dashed for the bubble.

I will write a more detailed report at a later date (along with some pretty pictures), sitting at Universal Cartographics waiting for the data results however tipped me over the edge, I need a break.

But first, some stats!

Ship: Asp Explorer
Jump Range: 24.56LY (due to being almost fully A graded, shielded and armed)

Explorer Rank pre expedition: Scout (14%)
Explorer Rank post expedition: Pioneer (24%)

Months out in the black: 6
Total Pages of data sold: 171
Detailed Level 3 Scans: 55,769

(the following is a breakdown of the more worthwhile scans)
Earthlikes: 20
Waterworlds: 178
Ammonia Worlds: 15
Black Holes: 24
Neutron Stars: 207

Total distance travelled: 73,113ly
Max distance from start: 30,528ly

Credits Earned: 82,764,249 CR

And now if you excuse me, it's time to sell this rust bucket of an Asp. I can't see this thing anymore. Plus, after 6 months, it smells.
I am also very excited to finally try out one of those fabled SRVs I've heard so much about while out in the black.
Let's see how long I can take the hustle and bustle of the bubble.

Some nice stats there.....I take it that you scan most things in a system, except Asteroids & Ice/Rock worlds. Your credits/1000LYs ratio is just over 1mil, that is what I usually get on average, when Im out Exploring.

One more trip like that & you'll have made it to Elite, if you haven't already CMDR.

@gooddoc I totally forgot to add my explorer rank pre / post the expedition to the stats. That's now fixed. :) I'm still a good bit away from making elite, but I'm sure that my next expedition will start soon. The bubble can only hold you for so long...

In terms of scanning, I did scan everything in a system in the beginning but started ignoring ice rocks around gas giants fairly soon.
In the end I concentrated on interesting looking metal planets and the occasional gas giant. Anything really that isn't a dead hunk of ice around a gas giant. :)

That massive field of neutrons I've crossed on my way to the Sagittarius Arm surely helped pump my 1000ly to credits ratio as well. (I wasn't actually farming but merely crossing through. I wonder what would have happened if I'd stayed to farm).

Edit: On a completely different note. What the hell happened. I used to kill everything in a resource extraction site 6 months ago. I bought myself a python last night and sort of A / B kitted it and got spanked hard by a conda. I made it out alive to tell the tale but heck, I don't remember them cracking down so hard. Maybe I've become rusty but I sure don't remember them being so aggressive. O_O

They come in wings now too!

Great report, I've just set out on my first Sag A trip. Wasn't planning on taking 6 months but I guess you never know.

Also as a Noob explorer I too am scanning every rock I find. Maybe I should up my standards!

Fly safe!
