6 Weeks till beta....Excited!!!

Been going over the old newsletters and I have to say that my excitement for beta has just jumped up somewhat. Looking at the concept art for the freighter and all the other ships and content we haven't seen yet has me all giddy. And this is just the start! Planetary landings for the first expansion. Damn, this is happening, no more yearly searches for news on Elite 4.......

All hail Frontier!!!

I'm eligible for Beta2 only, which means I'll crash and burn in flames once these "Alpha veterans" get a hold on me :D

I ought to say I'm not interested in violence (at least in the beginning), which means, whoever shoots me down...is gonna be struck by bad karma shortly after, so beware! :D

I inted to start off exploring/trading, with a view of going into piracy with some mateys....yaaaarrr

If we're talking about full game...
First I'm gonna go explore like nuts, just hyperjump all over the galaxy, then try to trade, and the rest ...we'll see.

I wouldn't be surprised if FD release Alpha 2.0 to the Beta standard backers at the start of Beta Premium.

I would think that they would, just to keep it fair. Beta standard backers have to geta handle on the controls as well. Just these past few days I have discovered a lot about the way the ships handle, and cannot wait to get to grips with the first full build of the game!!

well the Alpha 2 build is the most stable build and the fact that Premium backers have been given it 6 weeks before Premium beta begins leads me to think that because of the short testing cycle Beta testers are exposed to. it only makes sense for FD to offer the same to the Standard beta testers.

Would love to try Alpha 2.0. The single player combat build is...well.. a single player combat build.

According to a recent fault report by Frank, it's Alpha phase 1.1 they've been given...

Alpha v1.1 isn't something you can get some practice in with if you're planning on using more than one controller unfortunately. Alpha v1.1 doesn't support that. I spent a lot of time trying to make it work but was told later that it was supported in later builds.
