Hi all. First time in the Elite Dangerous Forums so i think im in the Correct Forum. This incident just happened to Me. I Finally got my SOL Permission and i finally visited our System. I Visited Mars then Earth. There was a destination called Capital Ship near Earth. Seems interesting Why Not? So i safely disengage my supercruise and i spawn inside the Capital Ship, destroying my ship and paying 60 000 Credits to re-buy it. Cool trip but didn't know that it would cost me that much

How close was the capital ship before you dropped out of supercruise?
about 700km give or take.
So i safely disengage my supercruise and i spawn inside the Capital Ship
Sorry to hear about that. By safely I assume you mean as soon as you got within 1000km and not waiting until the distance clicked right down to zero.
I've visited a capital ship once, and it was very big. By analogy, spawning point when dropping from SC for stations is 10km distance, the measurement point for distance to a station seems to be someplace inside the station. With some Orbis that are very long, if you arrive out of SC towards the station's tail then you might be within 10km and clip the end of the station. The same might apply for arriving at a big ship. Back in Beta the arrival point was 20km out from stations, but this was changed by FD due to an number of Commanders complaining of the extra seconds to reach the station from 20km out.

So as soon as the counter hit 1000km i would dissengage SC. I am frustrated that i lost 60 000 credits for nothing but i also know 30-40 minutes in the Nav Beacon Checkpoint you could easily get 100K.

I lost 6 million in a Imperial Clipper due to dropping out of SC inside a Cap ship. Although you lost small change, you can still log a ticket and get it back (eventually).
I'm sorry to hear that. Did you raise a bug report for this?
Including as much detail as you can and the time it occurred is important as it would help the team track down the problem.
Hopefully it can be resolved by support; if not I'd have no problem dropping a few tons of cargo to help you out

Wow, I've never seen one of those before. I went to SOL and hit all the gas stations there, but never saw one. There's really not allot in SOL to do, or even trade there.
Maybe someday they can get a Google Earth map and replace the Earth's surface with it...
