600 million credit quandary

I've been out in the black (roughly 5000Lys out from the bubble) for a couple of weeks now, mosying around and finally hitting Elite V for exploration. Last night I dropped into an undiscovered system (most are out here obviously) with two thin water atmosphere planets. According to the BioInsights plugin for Observatory (which has always been very accurate for me) the bio's on those worlds are worth a total of 115 million credits. Given that I'm the only person to have visited and have not landed at all, with first logged bonus, that's going to be close to 600 million credits.

Now, to be honest, I don't really need the cash. I have a carrier and 13 billion. So my quandary is, what to do with the system. I would like to be able to give the system name to a low level explorer in need of a cash injection, but I'm not sure how best to do that.

I had thought about just getting Cmdrs to DM me their name, checking out their wealth through EDSM/Inara, etc and then handing over the keys, as it were, to the most needy.

It's a bit of a half-ass'd idea though.

I could just ignore the system and leave it for someone to come across. But, at this distant from the bubble, it's either unlikely to ever be visited again, or the visitor will be another like me who doesn't actually need the money.

Any ideas?

Well, other than, "Don't be a dumbass. Just grab the loot." :p

On one hand, you could just upload the system to EDDN, and then let whoever may be interested in it land there eventually: it's rather close at 5,000 ly, so there's a good chance of that happening. On the other hand, somebody who'd use third-party sites to look for some TWAs to farm is likely not a "low level explorer in need of a cash injection", so they don't really meet your criteria.

You could also just post the system name here, and let the chips fall where they may. Or you could spend more effort than either of these, by asking around in-game, on Discord etc, but well, is it worth that much effort for you? You're going to find more TWAs anyway - if you keep exploring, that is. Of course, you could also just grab the valuables from there for yourself though, to level your Exobiology rank.

True, there is the ranking, although I don't honestly place oodles of importance on ranks generally. The Elite V Explorer rank was effectively a consequence as opposed to a desire, as it should be. I'm currently Elite II in ExoBio, which is fine, and I'll get there if and when I do, sort of thing.

As I say, I don't really need the credits anymore, and was just trying to think of ways to pass on a nice little cash cow. I'll go have a think...

It's a tricky one, for me anyways. But Codger may be right. :giggle:
