Greetings fellow explorers.
I've just returned from my journey across the Galaxy, trying to get as far from the Sun as possible. Unfortunately, my Asp wasn't optimally configured, something I realized when approaching the edge, so I had to turn back after reaching IORADY FG-J B36-0, 65,011ly from Sol because I couldn't find a path that would take me further that was within the jump distance of my Asp (~24ly). I've had a few accidents, so you can see my cockpit window being anything but pristine

I saw a lot of nice sights on the trip, but I don't think I saw anything really special. I've put up an album with some images from the journey at Picasa if anyone is interested. These are a mix between screenshots taken to store important information (name, distances), pretty views, and random screenshots taken by my cat.
Currently in the process of selling all the system data. I visited just under 10,000 new systems during the trip, and while I didn't do surface scans of all systems/bodies, I did carry an advanced discovery scanner to register all the bodies. As all of you explorers know, selling data from 10k systems is not much fun. Thankfully, I have two monitors, so I sell data in Elite on one while playing Dragon Age Inquisition (a game long neglected because of E
) on the other
Forgot to record the date and time of my departure, but it was quite a few weeks since I set out, and countless hours behind my flight stick before I returned. Felt weird docking again after all this time. I am not sure of the exact distance traveled either, but because of the path I had to take to get to the outer edge, the round trip was something between 150,000 and 200,000 ly in total. Don't think I'll be doing that again anytime soon.
