I was just curious how many explorers here have actually broken 65kly distance from home? After heading out on my first truely long range trip I now understand how difficult a mark that is to reach. It is something that can take months of real time to hit. I left the bubble on Oct, 5th and have made it about 8KLY on my trip towards the core. I am sure I could have gotten farther but I take the time to get side tracked and follow star chains to see where they lead. I have cruised the top of the galactic plain where the stars begin to be about 40LY apart and am now at the bottom of the plain where it is the same. just traveling through the disc like that takes a lot of time so, like I said, I understand now that 65KLY is sort of a big deal in distance from home now.
