Hehe! Yes, indeed, "travel complacency" is a very real thing.
Personally I prefer to filter out the brown dwarfs. They have a surprisingly large exclusion zone, relative to their radius, and of course are not scoopable. They're also far less likely to have anything interesting orbiting them. So I consider them to be bad news, all around.
They have the exclusion radius of a star without being anywhere near as big as one. I don't filter them out because I'm lazy and it's netting me a chunk of "First discovered by". [smile]
The repair limpets are great, I took 20 but fired one in error before I even left the bubble (don't ask!) and then used the second after my brown dwarf run in. 18 repair limpets and 3,200 AFMS repair "units" will get me safely to the Formindine rift. I might make a small diversion to Heart Sector IR-V b2-0 and park at farside base overnight. Not sure yet, it depends how far off my route it is.
Overall, it's going well and it's a bit odd to look at the return trip and see I'm over 5,000 LY away.
