I finally made Elite Trader rank tonight after what seemed like forever hauling freight. It was a huge relief to finish this up. Currently a Master in Combat and A Pathfinder in exploration. After a short break I will resume combat. Quick question. I saw I received a Founders World permit and I think a 10% discount at the shipyards. Are there any other perks for Elite status like free repairs? I have to thank all the folks that gave me tips and advice to help me along. I am there for anybody who needs help or advice like I did.

gratulations, cmdr!

- beside the 10%, the main "bonus" of founders world is, that you can buy all ships (if you have ranks) and all moduls ingame. founders world has everything all the time on stock. i assume, as an elite trader you have the CR for it.

- and they have a rare.

Yes you get access to Founders (discount and all modules/ships stocked)

You also get a 2.5%(?) discount to all modules & ships you buy anywhere which stacks.

Yeah the reward isn't earth shattering but it's nice not to have to eternally hunt for that 6A engine module or whatever you are missing, oh and all imp/fed/standard ships available in 1 station is nice :D

From what I read (only 1 elite rank myself) it does not stack.

I wish there was a reward for triple/quad elite but to my knowledge it's just bragging rights ;)

Nice going Cmdr! Don't let anyone try to take anything away from your achievement.
You got Elite! The fact you have a permit for Founders World is an extra.

Just a suggestion but get yourself a nice Python and go to work on your Fed and Imperial ranks, that way you get your combat kicks while increasing your ranks. Worked a treat for me and gives a purpose to all the killing lol.

Edit.. that said 2.1 is about to land so we will both be in the same boat of trying to reach Elite combat with the new AI

From what I've read, the AI has been buffed and may prove much more challenging as it is right now in 2.0. Not having access to beta, don't take my word for it though.

Checking the ranks of NPCs may be more relevant if AI difficulty is more precisely tailored to their rank, but then again, it's speculation on my part.
