7 oddball species you would like to see in the game

Rules are simple.

Choose 7 species important for you from meta wishlist that are under number 30.

Since so many oddballs were included this year I think we can really expect anything.

1. Striped hyena
2. Père David’s deer
3. Somali wild donkey
4. Addax
5. Lion tailed macaque
6. Serval
7. Giant eland

Some of the species are no real oddballs in my opinion. Also species around place 30 like the Serval or the Armadillo have around 100 votes which mean nearly 20 percent of us voted for them. I choose only species with lower than 30 votes as oddball species:
1. Reeves Muntjac
2. Pudu
3. Bold Uakari
4. Wild Yak
5. Chamois
6. Nilgai
7. Capercaillie

I mean, going through my meta-wishlist, all but three of my 25 chosen animals are below 30th place. These are probably my most consistently wanted species, although the last place would fluctuate a bit between different animals.

1. Yellow-throated marten
2. Ocellated turkey
3. Owston's civet
4. Bar-headed goose
5. Giant Asian pond turtle
6. South African springhare
7. Patas monkey

These are my top 7 underrated species, not necessarily the ones I want most below the 30th position. These outside choices would make me very happy, and I think people would really like them if they were introduced.
  1. Black Backed Jackal: different from any other canid in the game, very cute, kind of small, and they make cool sounds.
  2. Ribbon Seal: very distinct from other pinnipeds and they are the most beautiful to me
  3. Marsh Deer: This is the largest SA deer, it is very orange, it has webbed toes, and it is a fast swimmer
  4. Mountain Tapir: It's a fuzzy Tapir to represent the Andes
  5. Red Shanked Douc: Uncommon in captivity is the main downside, very beautiful, different from other monkeys we have, very endangered
  6. Muntjac: I really want a small Asian deer with fangs
  7. Eastern Wild Turkey: they are large (about twice the weight of peafowl), they would be a bird for North America, their calls are interesting, and they could double in domestic sections.
Top 30 below the 30th position:
  1. American Black Bear: cheap bear with color variations
  2. Serval: my favorite small cat
  3. Red Shanked Douc: already explained
  4. Pallas's Cat: grumpy small cat
  5. Mantled Colobus: really cool small monkey for Africa
  6. Muntjac: already explained
  7. Ribbon Seal: already explained

My most wanted animal is #30 hahaha, that's unfortunate (Red deer).

But with the red fox, wombat, and raccoon added to the game, the new top 30 will include red deer (#28), spectacled bear (#29), and serval (#30).

So my top 7 underrated species:
  1. Mara
  2. Wild boar
  3. Wisent
  4. European hare
  5. Mouflon
  6. Roe deer
  7. Sand cat
Basically a bunch of European animals, plus the sand cat and the mara. Underrated species for sure. Each of these are animals people pass over in favor of other similar animals (sand cat -> caracal, wild boar -> red river hog, collared peccary), or they think they are boring (wisent, mara), or people don't think about them at all (hare, mouflon, roe deer).

Nilgai is such a unique animal. Would be great to see them ☺️

I think with so many oddballs added Mara is becoming more and more possible 🙏🏽
