Has anyone managed to 'beat' these? What technique do you use, or is it a job for a wing?

These seem a lot hairier than triple Anaconda, and don't have the bounties the Anacondas have.

Job for a Wing I'd imagine.... however I've seen some of these spawn other types of ships. I'm sure me and my friends have a gold SSS that was 6 cobras and an Elite Anaconda.

Yes, but in an odd way. It was a bunch of Anacondas, 5 or so? Anyway by chance I was friendly with the faction 4 of them belonged to.

They seemed very confused, this was a couple of (minor) patches ago. I vaporised the non allied one and scooped up the gold LOL, the others (green to me) just followed me about but didn't shoot......I left before they changed their minds.

Very Odd.

I think normally it's something you could take on in a wing though.

Oh, so there are 7? I ran so fast i couldnt count them! I have found these a few times and fell for it twice, first time I got my butt singed (in my Vulture) but since then I avoid the strong signal source, these guys are way too powerful to handle on on your own, give me an Elite Anacaconda anyday, far easier!
