OK all, which platform do you prefer for your Elite playing enjoyment?

8bit - Beeb, Speccy, C64, Amstrad etc...
16bit - Amiga, ST, etc...
32bit - Archimedes

For me, it has to be 8bit. Original Beeb version, or the C64. I play these the most.:D

I just have to have the flicker, and the wireframe.

ZX Spectrum for me, but I'll give the BBC its due for being the original platform.

The 8-bit versions are the true 'Elites'. A triumph of coding over constraints.

Cheers,

Drew.

Has to be 8-bit! The Amstrad CPC version was the first I played, though I have to admit the 32-bit Arc Elite holds a soft spot for me too.

Played Elite on Spectrum 48k the most since BBC Micro was by far too expensive. A rich mate and boarding school had one to fiddle about.

16 & 32bit are a nice addiction but they had theirs repetitive flaws compare to 8bit.
