OK, have seen elsewhere on here it's possible to do (with no explanation), even been in to the display settings and manually changed the resolution, but it resets itself. So, anyone know how to create this custom resolution?
Er, why would you want to? the rift resolution is 1920x1080, Sometimes it loads up as portrait instead of landscape so you need to rotate display in display settings to get 1920x1080 which is what the rift uses
Sorry, you were in the vr forum so i assumed.
Its a portrait resolution for monitors that you can rotate sideways but isnt supported on all video cards or all monitors. If you select it in your settings and does it just black out the screen for 10 to 15 seconds when you hit apply or?
Saying that, its a very unusual resolution and i have never heard of it been used for anything but VR. Might help if we know what you are trying to do.
Portrait monitor? multi monitor etc?
No monitor i know would ever support that resolution?
It's to use the Trinus VR, which only works in windowed mode, so don't know if it would black the screen out or not. ED just shunted itself to the nearest standard resolution. I'll try going through the AMD control panel, but will really be rummaging around in the dark - but nothing ventured
