A better way to search the galaxy

One thing that has always annoyed me has been trying to type a system name into the Galaxy Map search function. It has to be typed exactly right for it to retrieve the system you're looking for. How about adding a function that narrows down your search as you start typing in the system name?

For example, when I go to eddb.io and start searching for, say, the Tripitaka system, when I type in the first few charcters (trip...) I get the following suggestions:
Tripu
Tripuna
Tripuri
... etc.

Can this be worked into our current Galaxy map? I'm guessing that the reason it doesn't exist is that eddb is working with "known" or "discovered" systems, of which there are probably only a few thousand, and the functionality I'm hoping for would need to search 400 billion. But, I'm just putting the idea out there! Maybe the search will only return systems in the bubble or something?

The only reason I'm complaining is that I play on XBox with either a controller or HOTAS, and typing with either of those is painful at best. Heaven forbid I make a typo and have to retype it all again!

It already does that - you just need to keep hitting the '>' button to cycle through them.

There are some limitations though, IIRC.
For procgen names you need to type the whole sector name in, and possibly the subsector name - 'Col 17' will give you nothing, but 'Col 173 Sector AA-A' will get you something and then you can cycle through.
You probably need at least 3 characters of any name - 'A' isn't going to cut it.
