The new trackIR now works perfectly.
If anyone else is having trouble updating the game list to include ED as the auto updater is broken - the links are being posted in the Support forum (they were originally in the Alpha forum, but some people couldn't see it...

Just bought TrackIR 5 this morning should hopefully be delivered tomorrow, as a first time user this is handy to know.

I'm having the same problem I posted a message on the TrackIR forums yesterday but it seems a moderator has to approve the message before it gets posted. Seems the TrackIR forums are heavily moderated, my message still hasnt been posted.

I downloaded the same files that Flak posted from TrackIR's download/support page but that didn't fix my problem. Maybe their files are out of date? When I get off work today i'll try Flak's files, hopefully ill be up and running tonight. Thanks Flak for posting the files!
