a BIG thank you!

Hi there, I am sorry if this is the wrong place but I wasn't 100% sure where to post this!

I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to all of the planet zoo team for working so hard on the game. From what I have seen so far I just can not wait to play the game (I was unable to play the beta sadly). The amount of freedom players seem to have is beyond anything I have experienced in games before. I have loved all the dev videos and journals and the whole community (including fans) is just so welcoming and communicative. Way more then other gaming companies (not that they have to that is).

The main reason I wanted to write this post that as someone who has suffered from mental health problems and continues to, Zoos and animals are a massive part of my life. I have been lucky enough to live close to Whipsnade Zoo my whole life, and along with London and Colchester is in my top three favourite zoos. During the hardest points of my mental health struggles zoos and animals were a big deal for me (I know that does not make much sense but they genuinely helped keep me positive). Being a fan of the Zoo Tycoon games, having a game like Planet Zoo is just amazing!

I big thank you to Bo and Chante who have been great on live streams and twitter as well. Its also been amazing watching great youtubers such as DeLadySigner, Geekism and BestInSlot and I have just had so many ideas of what I will do with the game when I eventually get it! (Will be Christmas as I need a new computer first!).

The reveals on twitter have been so much fun, and yes I have got caught up in trying to guess animals but I want to really say thank you for the amount put into them.

I know this is incredibly cheesy but I just wanted to let everyone involved with planet zoo know how amazing and how much I appreciate it. The focus on how good zoos focus on conservation and caring for endangered animals is refreshing and something that is sometimes lost on people.

Cant wait to play the game!

It's not cheesy at all.
As this is the official forum, many things that are discussed here are complaints or generally the worse stuff about the game.
It's fine of course, because that's what it's for. And people often forget to give positive feedback. You know the old saying - people who like the game play it, people who don't frequent the forum.

So it's nice to have a thread like this one, once in a while. It's not constructive, but not everything in life must have purpose. Some things can exist just to make people happy and I am sure that how ever the devs do appreciate bug reports, suggestions and feedback about the mechanics of the game, they will appreciate a post like yours just as much.

:)

Hey bud! I am glad you've joined us on the forums! Thank you for the lovely message and the shoutout, it is really appreciated and it's great to see you immerse yourself more and more in the community! I hope to continue seeing you in the livestreams and on Twitter, as well as on the forums, and maybe at a zoo in real life too! :D

Tigglesarus how could I forget your amazing drawings! So sorry to have left you out!

Thank you again for the lovely replies, its great to be part of such an amazing community. Thank you all for being so supportive :)

I wouldn't say you were lucky, we are all lucky to have such a great team working on such a great game!

Its a big step being involved on twitter and livestreams, I have quite high anxiety but its such a great team it makes it easy. If you guys are ever over Whipsnade way let me know haha!

Kindness isn't cheesy! I think it's nice when we share what helps us and makes us happy. For me that's books and I wish I could tell some of my favorite author's just how much their writting has meant to me.

I do have a special memory of going to the San Deigo Zoo as a reward after my worst surgery and seeing the baby panda. I've been to some horrible zoos and wonderful ones and I'm glad that Planet Zoo will allow us to recreate our best zoo experiences.

There is so much negative in the world it's great to focus on the many positives we all still have

This is a great post <3 I also feel the same way about it all, it is a wonderful game, with a wonderful community and wonderful team working to make both the game and the community a good thing, its seldom seen where the community is so happy and powerful and just sharing the joy all over the place imo, this game and the people working to make it what it is, they are a prime example of what the world needs more of in my opinion, just more love, more animals, more kindness and support for creativity and good behavior well rewarded, I can't even express my excitement and joy for this game and community. XD It's really amazing overall <3
Glad others feel the same. :)

It's amazing to see so many positive messages. I just originally intended this to be a way of letting the planet Zoo team know how much the game does and will mean to me, it's just great that for once, a gaming community is positive and at one with the whole team. This has been such an incredible experience...and it will only get better! (Will get even better when I get my first baby animal!)
