Following the events of the weekend, I am compelled to write and say that I am very pleased and proud to be a member of such a fantastic community!

Community is an over-used word but, for me, is very appropriate in this instance.

There's a lot of people who are accepted no matter their various differences, ages, capabilities and even ideological (with regard to the game) differences are respected and appreciated (let's just ignore the whole Newtonian, PvP, Griefing and 'difficulty' threads shall we ).

I'd also like to wave my hat in the air for the guys at FD for putting up with us all. I'm sure we've all irritated them at some point or other (some more than most) and yet they've always been, in public at least, patient and approachable on the forums.

What a great gang of guys and gals you all are!

It's mostly ok for now.
I think that's due to most people playing are either old fans of the originals or enthusiasts.

Once it goes on general release and the great unwashed start playing i'm bugging out of the core systems and heading into deep space until the next C.O.D grabs their attention.

I'd like to echo all the positive and heartfelt things everyone is saying. I've just written some bits and then re-read it thinking "this really doesn't do it justice". If you'll let me nip into a different universe for a moment, i think i'll let the words of the late great Andreas Katsulas as Citizen G'Kar replace my own attempts (I'll paraphrase the first paragraph a little, hope you don't mind)...

I think part of my bad mood today is due to going through the stages of grief about not being able to attend FantastiCon as I'd hoped. With a one year old in tow and we're already doing Italy - > UK. Doing London-Hull-Glasgow in 2 days is cruel on him. But it's cruel being so close and yet so far.
