A bit disappointed by my Python

Not sure what the problem is. With my Anaconda, I have a 99% success rate at interdicting. With my Python, I maybe have 60%. Interdictions seem a lot harder on the Python, not sure why. Both ships are equipped with a 3A FSDI and A class thrusters. I'm using a Saitek X52. It seems that when the interdiction starts while flying the Python, the stick seems much more jerky or responds a lot quicker. Does it have something to do with the ships' mass? Any suggestion?

Believe it or not I have only just started using Interdiction after 11 month of ED and using Python.
100% once I start Interdiction, but first you have to get close enough to use it. Then it seems to be about speed you are traveling, as I change speeds a lot. Slowing and speeding up.

I've been trying to vary the speed and the only thing it seems to help with is when I cut the throttle. So, on my Anaconda, I win almost all my interdictions with the throttle off and the same on the Python, where I have a much lower success rate. I'm a bit disappointed because I love the Python but I can't waste all that time when I fail an interdiction, so that's why I posted to see if someone had some idea why it is harder in the Python. I thought I read somewhere that the higher the ship mass, the harder it is to win interdictions. In my case, that's the exact opposite...
