General A Boss Key - for our special partners in our lives.

Some of us are old enough to remember the time when PC games that had a boss key.
A special keybind, that would instantly pause your game, and flip your game screen to a black screen, some boss-keys, even had a dos-prompt.

Now some of us have relationships and some of our spouses aren't gamers and tend to frown upon such wastes of unproductive time (by playing games)

Elite has some key issues that really chafe our significant others and stresses the RNGesus out of us.
Our expected "just give us a moment" can unfold into a torturous, panic, and stress-filled unpackaging of "several moments" each lasting far longer than our preferred 30' seconds whilst also exponentially diminishes our chances of coitus at a future time.

So I propose a similar BOSS Key for the little boss's in our lives.
When the Boss key is Toggled our game-mode is augmented into "In-a-moment-dear" mode
  • When we press exit, the game saves and exits
    • none of this OOH they could be Combat logging 15 second wait, I mean we have to go NOW. It's a booty call or a bed time story or help out with lifting the shopping, god dammit I need to quit NOW!!!!
  • Interdictions don't happen - at all.
  • Your indications are also a given "win"
  • Teleport to journey's end.
    • Supercruise is a mean mistress, those last 7 light-seconds on the approach to a planetary starport or a space station can be torturous as there is no way of really telling how long those light-seconds are really going to take, and extra moon, a gas giant can really dilate time to coitus denying results. A boss key should teleports us to our journey's end.
  • Instant docking.
  • Lucky Rolls
    • Is the RNG getting that very in-a-moment-dear etched into your other halves memory for future barging/argument??
with the Boss key, it's more of a SURE thiNG. Hold this down this key and Rolls are instant (no waiting) AND they reach their maximum stats.
    • Blasting rocky outcrops? once targeted and you tap on the boss key, the outcrop will explode, and the ore teleports directly to your personal storage.
    • Also, the Random Number Generator is weighted and adjusted for the items that are pinned blue-printed lists, so you get exactly what your want.......so then you can leave the game and the other half can get what THEY want, so you might get that other thing you wanted
    • Deep Core mining charges always detonate perfectly with optimal yield, regardless of how many or how well you planted your charges.
    • Limpets aren't required just the module. just point at the Asteroid or floating cargo, hold down the boss key and execute the normal "launch" button, and the Asteroid is instantly prospected, and the floating cargo teleported into your hold.
  • Thargoids roll over and let you scratch their bellies
Now many of you might consider this to be cheating in the game,
but our other halves and/or Guardian of Smaller creatures (genetics and/or wagging tails notwithstanding) might consider us to be cheating on them by opting to spend our lives with other commanders rather than themselves.

This way we can spend more time with our family, sat in the sofa as they "pretend" to be paying attention to the evening's "family entertainment", and not addicted to their little screens they have with them and you are sat their explaining why Doctor whats-their-name is helping kid-detective, and you have that itch to be back in front you own screen being out in the black.

A) you can't pause the game, and
B) the hotas would be a massive tell ;)

If you play the game fullscreen you can tap the windows key to instantly minimise the game.

If you open the task manager before you start playing you can alt tab and kill the entire game process with just two click combinations on the keyboard

Even if you play only in solo, this is an online multiplayer game and thus some things we are used to when it comes to solo "offline" do not work as easily, as the game is still progressing on the servers when you leave, instead of everything can be paused and saved for the next game session.

so exit the game when not in danger, is basically instant, with the exception that if are in "danger", you get the exit countdown timer.

A simple change to this countdown timer to automatically exit when the timer reaches 0 would allow you to with a just a few button presses leave the instantly. So you bring up the menu, choose exit option and then leave, and later get back to the game and see if you survived if there was a countdown timer.
Also allowing us to exit the game during the loading screen, ie jump animation between systems

The rest of the things with the boss-key activated would basically mean that most players would run with this option enabled all the time. and this will change several game functions... you have already listed no interdictions... which is a contridiction if you have a missions where there would be interdictions....
