Never, never, never explore without an AMFU.

Does reboot/repair do anything? I've never been in the situation myself.
Hehe - only if the module is destroyed, to my knowledge. FSD's at 53% (there's a LOT of Neutron Stars out there..) and held together with spit and duct tape. I'd kick it, but it might fall over.
Note to self - remember the bloody repair!!!

Yeah that's not ideal. My experiences in exploration have been less eventful, though I never really scooted along the Neutron highway.
This isn't the actual Highway; it's more of a "Neutron Bypass Lane" I found out near the Rim. :) I've easily hit 50 in this expedition. Well...
I'm at 47% FSD so I've hit 53 lol. 😁

Awww... sniff.... I can't stop laughing.... just 72 jumps?
Awww....

I've circumnavigated half the galaxy (roughly) without an AFMU.

But duct tape... never forget duct tape. It holds 3/4 of my ship together. I figure if my Power Plant hits 60% or my FSD hits 10% I'll put in at Colonia for repairs otherwise I'll keep on keeping on, and finally put in in a ship that's more duct tape than ship.

72 jumps is alright. I did the same in my Clipper on the way back from Colonia the first time. Never again

Although...you have checked that the outpost does repairs haven't you?

Not sure if "Not reading literally any thread about exploration" counts as "careful preparation" ;)

gl getting back, learning on the job is fun, at least in hindsight :)

Duct tape ship kit confirmed.
Looks like this:

😁
72 jumps to the nearest habitation - the last of a return leg of 400.
LOL I'm having too much fun here; this is frustrating but I LOVE that machinery gets cranky if you don't treat it nicely.
