A brilliant information panel to answer the "I got the game... What now?" question

Spotted this on the ED subreddit, great work by CMDR Caine::Androphonos and perfect to share with newcomers, along with profession demo videos like Isonona's (https://www.youtube.com/user/Isinona/videos)

'Infographic' is the new 'literally'.

Yeah, I realized long after uploading that it was more an informational panel than infographic - I'll be updating the image with a number of other changes suggested on the ED subreddit. Any suggestions here would also be appreciated.

Awesome work - Perhaps a spell-checker mistake with "Continuity" instead of "Community"?

No, just me being up at midnight working on this and thinking that was a better alternative to "The Elite Dangerous Universe" - I'm fixing that in the next version.

One suggestion (if not already made) - make the line lengths much shorter - would be much easier to read - perhaps put the text (or whole thing) in two columns.

I've requested a thread-title change to include "Information Panel" in place of "Infographic". I'll also edit the original post with image updates as you progress :)

Edit: Cheers Mods! :)

This is brilliant, may I make one suggestion however, please either reformat or provide a reformatted version which is A4 friendly.
I'd love to print this off on a double sided A4 page and laminate it.

I saw this earlier and was going to post a link as I knew it would be valuable for new players etc.

so +1 for the link to an excellent piece of information!

This will be a great resource for new players. A few things could be added though. I would list the Cobra and the Type 6 as viable exploration ships and also list the Type 6 as a worthy mining ship. It also couldn't hurt to add a section dedicated to a short blurb on some of the more expensive ships as a very common question new players have is what exactly there is on offer in terms of ships besides just the early ones.

Brodie - I'll see if I can make a printer-friendly version for you.

Thanks! I'll add those for exploration, and there will be a separate "chapter" on ships themselves - I was planning on doing more detailed pages on each profession first, but do you think the ship brief might be a better choice?

A detailed page on professions would be more important first definitely. I only mentioned the ship briefs as most new players don't seem to know that ships that are vastly different from the Sidewinder or Cobra even exist so something on that would be helpful.

Yay! I did something stupid and now the largest version I have is 1280 pixels wide. It's not the end of the world, but kinda sucks since I'm going to need remake the images I had before. The HTML option is sounding like a better and better idea.

The new version is available on Flickr now from this link. I will also be creating a PDF version once I have finished fixing the images but I'm a little bummed out that I have to redo a bunch of yesterday's work, so I might take a break and get that done for tomorrow.
