So wanted to ask if anyone can help. I have this formac monitor which isn't working anymore (this is the model I am talking about). I had a bit of an electrical accident with it - a while ago PSU bit the dust and fried my old GPU and it seems it did some damage to the monitor as well.
The monitor still turns on but remains on standby. Yet when plugged into a computer it registers as a display but doesn't turn on. Now I have a feeling that the electrical issue might have just done some damage to the dvi plug.. it also has a usb socket that I think might also act as a display option but it has a non standard small female socket.
So question is do you think its something that can be rescued? Its a lovely monitor and has a great display so I'd rather not bin if it I dont have to. I'm thinking a correct usb adapter might bypass any damage done to the DVI output but can't seem to find one.
Anyway, rambling now.. any ideas? :S
