Do you remember when this all started?
We all have memories that lead us to this life. We all have histories and pasts. We have grievances and alliances. We have grudges and debts. Some us fly for a flag and some of us fly to escape.
But we are all CMDR's. We are all free to choose. But that freedom is eroding. Increasingly the Empire and Federation are forcing us to the edge, using the lure of money and influence to coerce us into forgetting those reasons we started to fly.
Maia was just the latest in a long line of conflicts that we CMDR's were vital to deciding. But the Federation will downplay our role. They will pretend that we were just a small part in a grand scheme. The Empire will throw more funds at us and the cycle will repeat elsewhere.
My fellow CMDR's. We have agency. We have power. I for one am tired of being forgotten and of having that power be underestimated.
I think it is time we remind the Federation, Alliance and Empire that one man in one ship can change the balance of power in a system and that we CMDR's have the power to alter the fate of the galaxy.
My fellow CMDR's I call upon you to remind Hudson and Partreus, the two major belligerents in these coming troubles just what we can do.
Hurt them how you can where you can. Kahina Loren can be freed and the federations operations in Maia can be damaged.
Make them remember why we fly.
