A call upon the community to help me to find out about this mystery

I dont know 100% if this is the place to ask, or seek for help. But I hope that the community will help me to find out this mystery for me. Watch the video clip and read what I wrote in there and answer me if someone knows why that happened to me

I dont know if Im the only commander that had experienced this before. I dont know if there is something about me the Thargoids knows. I havent really be in contact with them, only with one of their bases, which I couldnt get inside of. But beside that, I dont fight the Thargoids. I only helping with evacuating attacked stations as of now.

I dont know what they are up to, but I just finding it weird that it happened to me today

Yeah. It is nice to know that I arent the first to encounter this. I had talked with someone of site, which said that it could be a bug. I dont know. It is just weird

My personal theory is that Thargoids are performing VIP passenger missions.
Think about it - they have tech that allows them to jump long ranges, and when they get to their destination they just hover around scanning things. Then, presumably, they jump back to Thargworld and collect their alien credits, while their friends complain on the Thargoid Frontier forums about how passengers are a broken source of credits.

I thought they were grinding scans and escape pods to unlock Blergh the Thargoid engineer who does grade 5 overcharged shutdown field mod.
