I propose a fundamental change to the Frontline Solutions within stations that have them.
Instead of -hunting- Planetary Conflicts Zones, approaching Frontline should provide Commanders with Contracts being provided by whoever is hiring within 50 Light Years. The Commanders should be able to select the intensity of the Conflicts Zones through the faction contract and would be immediately ferried by a transport to a Carrier (or a large capital ship) owned by their faction in that system. Here the players (and their fire team) would be deployed to a random conflict area (at their chosen intensity) by a troop transport, where win or lose, they are brought back to the Carrier (or portable pig farm) again where they await their next assignment.
When the players have had their fill, they can cancel their current contract and be given transport back to their system of origin, this way they are not stuck 50 light-years away from their starships.
Also, as a side note, rare materials for suits and weapons, such as Manufacturing Instructions, should be a reward replacing combat bonuses in some instances, so players have a different means to hounding them down.
In either case, I think this would help facilitate Commanders (and their friends) to the field far easier than current methods, and with an element of randomness so Commanders won't be forced to fight on the same ground constantly.
I will now return to my hole. :V
