A Christmas Wish

Dear Fdev I know it has been a rough end of the year for you with all that has gone wrong. I believe in you and the game I by nature am a very patient Man.
I do however wish for just a teaser trailer of things that are coming to the game for next year we have all been waiting so long just for a glimpse of what we are hopeful for. I am not looking for a promise or anything like that but just would like for once to have you show off a bit I feel it would brighten up the moods of the player base a bit o7 and Merry Christmas commanders

I think there will be something, but it could be a bit of the ways off yet. With a focus on bug fixes, there's not a lot to "show". And the way some people referencing things said 7 years ago once, people can and will take anything as a promise.

I'm looking forward to what's coming, but I'm not putting all of my interest into actively waiting for it. There's other stuff to do out there - I'm not expecting Elite to fill every moment of my life, entertainment-wise.

I would think they'd want to wait until a bit closer to the big content releases to really swell up the hype.

Some monthly Dev Update surely wouldn't hurt... I guess that'd be something most folks could get behind?

Stuff to view, listen to, speculate upon, maybe to look forward to.
All I remember is that they supposedly made excellent progress on their New era - but had absolutely nothing to show for it, couldn't talk. "Nothing" isn't alot to look forward to

too many complaints about announcing announcements made them wait until its actually happening methinks...do miss the DevDiaries and more of the DiscoveryScanner type streams would be much better for this audience than Lets Play all the time though, Fdev youd be surprised how informational and entertaining it is to learn about something we know nothing about or how it is implemented in game.

in the meantime...things may be going on under our noses...was there always a Biology Centre in Colonia, did I just miss it the 1st time I looked...and I've lost a Crashed Ship that I thought was permanent in Los...?

They won't do it because many people would take it as a promise.

Myself, I don't want to hear any more until they've actually done the work and gotten it ready for beta, I'm tired of getting my hopes up.

Having to come up with a teaser trailer for 6 months of bug fixing must be a frustrating task.

Sorry, but Frontier have already told us they will start talking about the 2020 update next summer after the FCs release.

Me, I want to have the “unknown permit” areas unlocked. Been waiting to get to the Horsehead dark region for what seems like years! And the loading screen teases me with it with every start up! Lol.
I know it was supposedly locked for “future content” probably related to thargoids but idk about that now.

No - Holloway Bioscience Institute, and its associated faction, showed up on Thursday. First new station in the region for a while... not yet clear what it means, though the location suggests they may be investigating the molluscs.

Those are "tip off" sites, so they appear 2 weeks in every 12. There are many others around the region.

You checked out Hyford's Cache yet? Talks about transporting Escape Pods (live bodies) and the implication to me is that some sort of testing is going on somewhere, separate to Etienne Dorn, at least that how I read it...so the new bioscience centre may be a link between the two? Testing new viruses/anti-viruses on live subjects using the Molluscs or the parasites? History repeating? Havent found start of Hyfords trail yet though so may be more info in the missing info.
