I'm sure we have all, or at least most of us, have seen an ObsidianAnt video on YouTube. He needs help and even though we are Xbox players I think we should help him out. Check out his channel if you like.
I would help if I could, but I can't even afford my own stuff. XD ObsidianAnt has put in years of hard work to make great videos for the community. I wish I could help out. I doubt he barely makes a few dollars from his Youtube videos he makes. If it's anything like my profit, even from a 30,000 view video with ads, and adsense, and all that stuff with the Youtube partnership I never even made a single penny, lol. Not only does he need a new graphics card, (which I've seen a good 10 people offer to send theirs, all the way from a 660 to a 980) but he also needs a whole new computer. That short fried his PSU and the other components too...
He made an update here on the forums, after he discovered that the card did indeed damage the rest of his computer, and that'll he need a whole new rig. He's getting a new card from a user here, and using the Paypal money to build a new PC.Didn't he say his computer didn't take damage only the GPU?

It would be cheaper in the end.We should all chip in and buy him a new Xbox One
It would be cheaper in the end.But then he wouldn't be able to keep up with the latest Elite happenings! It would also take him longer to make videos with just his laptop! Oh, that's right, he'd probably need some kind of capture device with a mic too.
What I meant, is that if he had an Xbox, he would probably need some kind of capture card or device. I doubt he'd want to painfully record in 5 minute bricks using Xbox DVR!Most PC videos are captured with software rather than hardware so I suspect he's fine in that regard.
I'd assist if I could. Sadly I have no spare cash.

No need. Stream to Twitch and export to youtube.![]()
The quality doesn't tend to be that great from Twitch, plus there is the real chance of footage cutting out due to network fluctuations. Dedicated capture card is a far superior option (albeit far more expensive).

I came, I saw, I repped.
I've seen his videos before but I haven't seen anything about this. How do you even manage to get your GPU to fry?
