I've seen his videos before but I haven't seen anything about this. How do you even manage to get your GPU to fry?

Constant heating from ambient to 70-80 degrees will eventually break down the solder, all GPUs eventually fail, even console ones. Obsidian ants gpu was a few years old, being a gtx 780.

He just posted a video on YouTube thanking everyone who donated saying he's been overwhelmed by his viewers/fellow gamers and now has the resources to replace his gear! Well done to the donators you guys are true gentlemen!

Good to hear. I couldn't contribute myself but am a subscriber of his and have enjoyed his videos. I'm pleased he's in a position to replace his rig.

FD should be pleased as well as his videos are actually a really good promotion of their game.
