This is just a quick post to confirm that in the right circumstances turning your stern to the star whilst scooping does indeed lead to the pleasing sight of the NPC who has just told you he has been looking for your cargo streaking across your scanner to a point behind your ship to interdict you, whereupon he vanishes hopefully to a fiery death. [squeeeee]

Certainly the entire time after that (I had just started fueling my bone dry tanks) there was no sign of him.:D

I doubt it was a formal hunt just the usual ad hock affair you get when you have a massive cargo on board.

I had miscalculated slightly while using a Sidey as a taxi and arrived in the system with tanks so low I wasn't sure I would stay in cruise long enough to scoop anything, so When the scoop started I was throttling back for a long session. Even with the Sideys tank a size 1 scoop is pretty slow. Then I received the call from the pirate, well at a virtual stop with almost no fuel and armed with mines I just turned away and killed the throttle.

Seeing him him zip across the scanner was most gratifying.

Made up for having somebody squatting on my landing pad earlier.
