Newcomer / Intro A couple of annoyances

Ok, first off, this is not a rant or a negative post about ED. I really just have some questions about some things I am confused about.

1. I am a warrant officer in the federation. I was in a station and came across a mission on the bulletin board stating to go to ross 128. It said when I arrived I would receive some kind of communique. When I get there, I find a prison station and a hangar station. Pretty much nothing else is there aside from an asteroid field. I check the bulletin board, nothing interesting. I check my inbox and chat window... nothing. What am I supposed to do here?

2. I bought a kill warrant scanner and have been using it regularly. Consequently I have all these bounties I haven't been able to turn in because I don't know where to go to turn them in. Some of the factions are silver galactic inc., People's Cooperative, etc. I also have bounties in Federation, Alliance and Empire. I can figure out where to go for the main factions easy enough, but how do I find where I am supposed to turn in all these other bounties?

Also FD, if you are paying attention, a nice way to search specific factions and what systems they are in would be appreciated.

1. Nothing. That wasn't actually a mission, you were just being told that you now have a permit to that system

2. Yeah, it can be a pain, but it isnt a biggy. If the bounties add up enough to be bothered with, they are nearly always within 8ly

I'm up to hundreds of thousands of credits owed me and I really don't want to fly around station to station looking for these factions. I mean some of these bounties I've had unclaimed for a while.

You can sometimes google the smaller independent faction names to find out which systems they are from.

blow yourself up and hey-presto, a nice clean transaction tab!

I wish there was a broker or equivalent... I'd be happy to pay them 10% so I didn't have to go round and find all these minor factions

You only have to be on system to check for the faction, it will be on the right hand ui. Once found, any station in the system will do.
Minor factions only tend to give bounties locally, so if you have a big pile, they are certain to be very very close to where you got them

I've just been doing a lot of traveling. To break up the monotony on long trips, I investigate the occasional USS and kill some pirates who have bounties, scan the sector for unexplored objects, explore and move on. By the time I finally decide to port, those sectors I killed those pirates in are a hundred lys away. Hopefully I will get lucky and find them before some player blows up my ship, lol.

It has been my experience that those random NPC bounties are from neighboring systems. Hyperspace to a near by system and click 4 to see the groups that live there based off of your rep.
