A couple of questions regarding landing on planets

First exploration trip here. Been watching a bunch of guides and tutorials, yet there are a couple of questions I cannot seem to find answers to. So, since you guys have been so helpful before, I decided to come here. Now here they go:

I found a system with a bunch of planets, some of which have a blue symbol around them in the system map (also the small...hut blue symbol near their name, in the list on the left). Now, I noticed that for the blue marked planets I also have a list of materials I can find, so it's logical to assume I can land on them. But:

1. Can I only land on the blue mark planets, or is it possible to land on any of the others?
2. Is it possible to find outposts on the blue mark planets?
3. I also found a terraformable water world. Can I land on that?

Now, I could test all of these aspects by myself, but I also brought a passenger who's due to pay me a large load of dough upon my return, so I'd like to get him back in one piece. Decided though that on my next trip I ain't goin' to bring anyone with me. It feels too good to just hang around the stars for as long as I feel like doin' it.

You can only land on airless planets, the blue ringed ones.
Once you've scanned the planet, any settlements, outposts will show up in your nav lists.
While flying near the surface, Points of interest will show as blue circles on radar. These point to crashed ships, cargo, etc. Note: the blue circles disappear below 1.5k
It helps to zoom your radar out for this.

Hope this helps. :)

EDIT: Note also that you can tell which planets have landable settlements on them because their blue crescent has some extra vertical lines on the top of it.

MORE EDITS: Word of warning.. always check the gravity of the planet before attempting to land. Anything above 2g can lead to suicidal tendencies if you don't take care.

Very helpful. Thank you very much!

I got top of the line scanners and everything else that's important for exploration. Wish I would've left my weapons home though.

I've also heard about the gravity issue. I's one of the reasons I'm trying to avoid hull resistance tests on this trip.
