A couple of things bugging me that someone might know.

First: Is my starting system recorded anywhere. I'd like to go home and see my family.

Second: The streaky windows on my ship annoys me. Am I the only one who wants to get out and clean them properly? Clean windows would be a good micropayment :D

I don't think you can find a record of your starting system within the game.

I never made a note of mine, but believe it was Trevithick Dock in LHS 3447 or wherever it is.

I am told that if you clear your save and restart you will always start from the same station.

There are a select number of start systems, all in Federation space. You are randomly assigned one and will, I think, always start there.

So, OP, if you want to know where you started, just clear your save. No big deal, right?

My slave does a bad job... Mind you, I haven't fed him in a while. Stupid Grinwoody, clean the windows, then you can eat. Poor fella still hasn't figured it out yet. Maybe it's time to trade him in for a younger one...

You don't have to clear the save. Buy a Sidey, self-destruct, and don't take the replacement ship. That will put you back in a starter Sidewinder at your start location, even if you have another ship closer that you'd prefer to respawn in (grrr).

I'm in Toolfa. no slaves there. The moment I can walk around my ship, the first thing I will do is clean the windows.

Do you have any idea approx how many systems you've traveled away from where you started?
Also, were you a backer, a alpha/beta tester?

Or, just give up trying to figure it out, and setup home in Toolfa, or someplace nearby.
Unfortunately, I can't find a list of the starter systems, I started in LHS 3447, alot of people did, but there are other starter systems, just don't know what they are. I have read that starter systems are all Federation systems, if that helps. Toolfa appears to be an independent system.

More information please.

I started in Aiabiko, nice starter. Eight, nine stations, varied economies. You can get a decent start trading insys.

LHS 3447 does sound familiar and yeah I joined during beta. I travelled to the outer edge of civilisation then bottled it, the big dark is beautiful and terrifying in equal measures. I've travelled far and wide. I always seem to come back to Toolfa though. LHS 3447 is probably where I'm from, but Toolfa or possibly Gateway is home :D
