PvP A couple quick questions about PowerPlay PvP & PvE

Now that I'm back in Open, sorta, I'm interested in some casual, meaningful PvP. The closest thing in the game that meets this criteria for me is PowerPlay, specifically engaging players belonging to hostile Powers. I included PvE in the title since I may also engage hostile NPCs depending on my mood. What follows are a couple quick, simple questions.

Q1 - If I destroy a hostile ship, how does this differ than destroying an "innocent" (not wanted) ship? IIRC, there are PP bounties that differ from regular bounties. Will I still get regular bounties or just PP bounties?

Q2 - If I get a special PP bounty, how does this affect me - am I just "wanted" in systems belonging to the Power(s) I've assaulted? Am I locked out of station services of all systems belonging to that power, or just the system where I killed the ship, or do stations not care if I have a PP bounty?

Q3 - Can I pay off a PP bounty like I can pay off a regular bounty?

Q4 - Does killing hostile ships cause notoriety to increase?

Q5 - Is there any difference between destroying hostile players and hostile NPCs?

Those are simple questions looking for simple answers. Many thanks to whoever can shed a light on my PP-C&P confusion!

Casual Meaningful PvP?

You need to get political.

Pick a power and wave the flag. - anyone from another power is a legit target.

Running around with PP bounties means you are a target for NPCs etc when in systems exploited by other powers.
PP bounties are not the same as Faction bounties.

When you are pledged, other power's ships will be marked "ENEMY" - you can kill them without affecting your notoriety.
Enemies are enemies - if they are marked that way - kill em all.

But more interesting than all your questions is this one:
Who will Old Duck pledge allegiance to?

I thought Duck had stated pp was "half-baked" , a failure feature presumably not worth bothering with. (Funny how pp was exampled first as "half-baked" in the thread and here we can tell he is still practically a newb about it.) I guess when or if he joins one of the hundreds of cmdrs who have been participating on the weekly tick for long periods within the past years of pp, with the various time-committed acitivites, foritfication/undermining, bgs for fort thresholds, hauling etc. he could add more important "critique" of pp that has already been gone over several times even before the ps4 release.

Mocking people as always, I see. You are such a positive person :poop:

I stand behind my claim that PP is half-baked. I'm using it strictly as a "PvP Flag", as Sandro himself stated this was one of the goals of PP. Oh, and I'll probably grab a module or two while I'm at it. I have zero interest in hauling "pamphlets" to play the so-called PP strategy game.

ps - you contributed absolutely nothing to this thread. Good job. 👎
