Ship Builds & Load Outs A cutter question

Greetings, I've had my Imperial Cutter for a month now and making money is easy as ever. However the maneuverability of the Cutter is horrendous.
Now yes, this is a big ship but it also got the biggest thrusters size thru out the entire roster, so the handling just feels tacked on.

I do however only have a 8D not a 8A.
So my question is, how much will the handling improve if I were to switch it to 8A 5grade roll dirty drives? Is it worth it or not?

The cutter is poor at manoeuvring, whatever thrusters you have, like the python has a slow turning circle

Try 8A thrusters with dirty drive 5. It is a dream. It is better than an anaconda when you get used with a little FAOff, yaw and thrusters.

There's typically about 3% improvement between each each thruster grade so D to A will add around 9% better rates, a good DDT G5 spin would increase that by 30% so going from a stock D to a modded A is about 12% certainly a noticeable improvement but the increases in cost/power/integrity/thermal load need to be considered as well.

For example I rerolled the 7D on my Conda recently and got 37.5%, in agility that delivers 26/62/10 (pitch/roll/yaw) a 130% 7A is 27/65/11 degrees/sec you won't notice that differential, the speed increase is more noticeable (12 - 17 m/s) but TBH not worth the cost, power and mass increases, have a play with Coriolis as the Cutter D to A differentials look to be even smaller.

Thanks for the answers, I didn't expect a huge increase for it to be on a playing field with the Anaconda or Corvette, but something atleast near the Anaconda. Probably not going to be the case so I'll keep my 8D and have a great jump-range. The positive maneuverability as Ceekay mentioned is probably not worth it when you increase the power/integrity/thermal aswell.

I own a Corvette, Cutter and an Anaconda. The Cutter is A rated G5 modded and as are the Vette and the Conda. The Cutter is the least agile of the three. The 8A thrusters make a huge difference the G5 even more. Anyone who says a Cutter can out maneuver a comparably equipped Conda or Vette hasn't flown all three. Of the three I fly the Cutter the most because it can haul 728 tons of cargo and easily defend itself against elite NPC's. I've lost two Cutters now, one to a PVP guild and one to a station when I got caught smuggling a wanted passenger. $64,000,000 down the tubes.

8A with DD5 makes it a dream to fly. Way faster than anything that size should be. That being said, it'll never be what anyone would call agile, so I highly recommend you put some turrets on her.
