[size=+2]Greetings Commanders.
For the past couple of months I have been working on a project (The People's Voice) in the Lore & Role Playing Forum that I'm hoping, will be of interest to those who like listening to stories etc. I want to bring into the Elite Universe a unique opportunity for everyone to 'tune into' an alternative source of listening entertainment, but with a big difference. It's not a Music station or a talk show station of which, we already have, instead this will be devoted solely to playing YOUR Elite/Space Stories/Books, Radio Plays, Role Playing Stories & logs etc as your flying around the Elite Universe.
At this point in time, I have no idea if this is a useful addition to your listening pleasure or not, perhaps Radio Sidewinder & Lave Radio is all this universe needs?. I'm also unsure if using Computer Voices to read out the stories etc will distract or break your immersion when listening to them.
Therefore, I have created two demo files for you to listen to, one is a radio play & the other, a short story (Details Below). Download links at the bottom of this post. If you take the time to listen to them, can you please make a comment to the following questions. ( I know these computer voices are no where near as good as a human voice. )
1. Would you be interested in listening to more of these stories/radio plays/books etc?
2. Does the computer voices distract you from listening to the story / play, or are they OK?
3. Is there anything else you would like to add?
