A detail I like in 2.2

When you press launch and during the animation do escape/back to game, it doesn't work like a quick "undocking computer" any more. It sets you back on the pad.

And for an absent-minded commander like me, it's great! At least once per session it's like "oh, I forgot to check this or change that". This saves me from going out-distance-asking permission again...

thx, FD.

Really?!
Woot!!

No more - "Right I'm going mining. Prospectors? Check. Collectors? Check. Refinery? Refinery? Yeah Yeah Check get on with it already. LAUNCH. Oh crap limpets....."

Yes. During the animation, and even during your in-station flight to the exit.

esc/save to main menu/back to where you were (open, group, solo)

not only Esc key, but I guessed that was obvious :) Sorry.

To clarify, using the actual esc key does this?
Many times I needed this too.

I'm assuming its - Esc and log out to main menu, but I'm 8k out of the bubble and can't check.

If it's just Esc then even better :)

Edit: Ninja'd

Opposite for me. At the end of a session I used to finish up my business in the station, hit launch and exit game. When I came back to play again I'd be outside the station ready to go. This does not work anymore, so adds 1-2mins to playtime per session.

Fingers crossed it's not a bug, although thinking about it, it's most likely the way FD chose to deal with the insta-out-of-station (dare I say) exploit.
