A DLC solely dedicated to birds and aviaries

I've lost hope for flying birds, so the only roster for this dlc that I could see would be:
  1. Great white pelican
  2. Greater rhea
  3. Secretary bird
  4. American flamingo
  5. Shoebill
  6. Mallard
  7. Grey crowned crane
  8. White stork
I really just started thinking more about birds after they released the butterflies, especially smaller species they would only need very minimal flying mechanics. Every zoo I’ve ever been to has always had macaws just sitting around or an aviary where the birds just sit perched somewhere for the most part.

  2. Greater rhea
  3. Secretary bird
  4. American flamingo
  5. Shoebill
  6. Mallard
  7. Grey crowned crane
  8. White stork
Very similar with me:

  1. Great white pelican
  2. Greater rhea
  3. Secretary bird
  4. Ground hornbill
  5. Shoebill
  6. Great Argus or any duck
  7. Grey crowned crane
  8. Saddle billed stork

  6. Mallard
  7. Grey crowned crane
  8. White stork

Mine would be

1. Greater rhea
2. Grey crowned crane
3. Great White pelican / Brown pelican
4. Scarlet ibis
5. Mandarín duck
6. Golden pheasant
7. Roseatte spoonbill
8. Secretary bird.

I've lost hope for flying birds, so the only roster for this dlc that I could see would be:
This is what I'd imagine.
  1. Mandarin Duck
  2. Grey Crowned Crane (or Secretary bird): I often see more than one crane in a single zoo (Richmond zoo had at least 4), so I really want to see at least one more crane. This one is colorful, visually distinct, iconic, popular, and common in zoos. The secretary bird is more popular, though, so I think we might get that one instead. It's kind of fun and unique, so I wouldn't mind it. Ideally, we'd get both.
  3. Scarlet Ibis (or Roseate Spoonbill): I think an ibis rig would spawn more useful mods for me, so I'm leaning more towards the ibis. Again, both would be great.
  4. Wild Turkey: Gives the temperate forests and grasslands North America an iconic first bird and provides another thing to go in farm sections.
  5. Great White Pelican: Iconic, covers a lot of ground, and gives a bird for 3 continents.
  6. Greater Rhea: Needed for non-tropical SA and completes the main ratites.
  7. Golden Pheasant: Good for East Asia and adds a colorful bird that is common in zoos.
  8. Some easy "clone" waterfowl (mallard, white-faced whistling duck, and maybe a black swan) instead of an exhibit animal. Then, there would be a nice thing for the waterways of most zoo sections.

  • Grey crowned Crane
  • Great White Pelican
  • Greater Rhea
  • Mallard Duck
  • Wild Turkey
  • Common Pheasant
  • Roseate Spoonbill

If we were to get flying birds in non-walkthrough aviaries, this would be my ideal pack:
  • Bald Eagle
  • Macaws
  • Great Horned OR Snowy Owl
  • Peregrine Falcon
  • California OR Andean Condor
  • Laughing Kookaburra
  • Toco Toucan
  • Budgies OR Lorikeets for just one walkthrough aviary.
If we’re focusing more on habitat birds, here’s what I’d go with:
  • Shoebill
  • Secretary Bird
  • Marabou Stork
  • Grey Crowned Crane
  • Greater Rhea
  • Wild Turkey
  • Greater Roadrunner
  • I think we could get the budgies or lorikeets into the walkthrough exhibit.

Yes it would be nice to have! Unfortunately it seems like Frontier has no interest in WTE birds. But I would like to be wrong though.
I’ve been in zoos that have walkthrough exhibits with birds the Riverbank Zoo and Garden has a walkthrough exhibit full of lorikeets and the Atlanta Zoo has a walkthrough exhibit full of budgerigars and I have pictures to prove it and at the Riverbank Zoo and garden you can give the lorikeets little plastic cups full of nectar or something I had one lorikeet crawl out of the bushes and on to my hand.

These pictures aren’t exactly perfect but as you can see I got to walk through an exhibit full of budgerigars. And the guest could give them little bits of food on a tiny stick.

I want to break them up into family
1) Parrot Macaw
2) Pheasant
3) Pigeon
4) Cranes/Stock
5)Owl
6) Eagle
7) Sea birds

each DLC have 7 aviary birds and 1 exhibit aviary small bird.

Assuming we won't see aviaries until the sequel, I've imagined two DLC's for Planet Zoo:

Birds of Africa
1) Helmeted Guineafowl
2) Egyptian Goose
3) Grey Crowned Crane
4) Great White Pelican
5) Marabou Stork
6) Shoebill
7) Secretary Bird
8) Southern Ground Hornbill

Birds from around the world
1) Greater Rhea
2) Mandarin Duck
3) Black Swan
4) Golden Pheasant
5) Wild Turkey
6) White Stork
7) Red-Legged Seriema
8) Greater Roadrunner

We finally get birds and yet a whole DLC is dedicated to África once again while the rest of the world is compacted into just one. Sounds pretty acurate for Frontier 😂

Honestly, I’m quite happy with “grounded birds”, if something like this:
  • Any pelican (preferences being Brown or Dalmatian)
  • Black swan (in lieu of an exhibit animal an easy clone)
  • Great bustard
  • Grey-crowned crane
  • Impeyan monal
  • Mandarin
  • Northern bald ibis
  • Western capercaillie
A ground-hornbill or wild turkey would also be great.

If we got flighted birds, I think the DLC would have 13 birds with some clones:
  • Scarlet macaw (mascot)
  • Bali starling
  • Bearded reedling
  • Golden eagle
  • Golden weaver
  • Great horned owl (Eurasian eagle owl alternative)
  • Sulphur-crested cockatoo
  • Northern raven
  • Rainbow lorikeet
  • Socorro dove
  • Steller’s sea-eagle
  • Toco toucan
  • White-faced scope owl
