A farewell to our good friend CMDR Gibguard

Greetings community,

it is with a heavy heart that i need to inform you about the passing of our dear friend Gibguard. His daughter came to our discord yesterday to give us the sad news and we decided to also post about it here. He was playing the game about 10 years so will definitely have left some mark and made friends that didn´t get the sad news.
We started out space adventures a long time ago in EVE online, Gibguard was the CEO of the Firestar Inc. corporation. While we were also flying for a certain infamous space tyrant for a while, we mostly were providence dwellers for a long time and had great fun there. Eventually we moved on to Elite dangerous because, with all its flaws, it´s the only true space game for us.

To honor our friend we will be building a giant orbis starport in the Tucanae Sector EB-X c1-17 system, the station will be named "Gibguard´s rest", so he will stay with us until the servers are switched off forever.

Everyone who knew our friend, pls feel free to drop a few tons of material to help with construction, he would have loved to see this.

I think that is a great idea. And since the ED Commanders are always so eager to get there names on everything, like dogs pie on every standing object, why can't we all come together to offer assistance? In the event someone is unaware, commanders responsible for developing a given station are credited within that station. ;)

I am about to fill up my FC with steel/aluminum/titanium, and bring it to the construction site in Tucanae Sector EB-X c1-17.

I'll be in open.
