A few ideas for some improvements.

Been playing this game now for a couple of years, and here are a few subtle changes I think would improve the experience greatly.

At an extra cost allow players to move size points in the optional internal components. Example.

The Krait MK2 has 8 open slots for the optional internals, and a total of 34 points (6,6,5,5,4,3,3,2).

Now with keeping the max at 6. Why can't we move the wall of the 2 size to a 1 and make one of the 3's a 4, 4 a 5, or a 5 a 6. I think the biggest standard module should be the max the ship can hold (this example you couldn't have a 7 in it). That way we aren't wasting space with the advanced discovery scanners and such that are only a size 1 in bigger ports. I think the cost could be like a percentage of the ships inital cost to start.

Improvements to the limpet controllers. Instead of having many different controllers, have one controller with different limpets. The larger the limpet controller the more types and more active limpets the contoller can have active. So when loading new limpets, the player will have to choose the types they carry instead of one limpet for all choices.

This is just a couple of ideas i had off the top of my head to improve the experience.
