A few questions about multicrew in Horizons

Me and my friends just started Elite Dangerous and we're having a blast hanging out in a wing together. However we'd like to get into exploration and we'd like to do it together, so we're wondering how that works with Multicrew. Can you do exploration with your multicrew? And does it give your multicrew anything to do or are they just sitting there? Does everyone in the multicrew get cartographical data?

You can't use the FSS while moving. So that's pants.

SRVs are entirely incompatible with multicrew. Which is hideous.

The DSS probes can be used by the gunner to probe planet surfaces (then when you find something, you can land and then.... Oh wait... SRVs are incompatible with multicrew... So we can't explore what we found together... Right...)

Data and first discoveries are supposed to be shared.

All of the above applies to after the next release.

Currently multicrew exploration just doesn't work at all, so I suppose the update is an improvement, I mean, you can do nearly nothing, and it's an improvement on nothing.

Multicrew needs a lot of work at the moment its best to use it just for combat.

I'm sure they'll add more mechanics later not tried mining or exploration in beta/next big update but others might be able to answer this. I mean if you have a ship launched fighter your friend could kind of explore with you but they aren't going to get tags or rewards.

If you want to explore together you'll need to both fit ships and go out in a wing. You'll both get rewards and discovery tags as long as you scan whilst in the wing and online in same system.

Good question OP. Dont try it, to avoid dissapointment.
I would like to see an official stream for multicrew exploration lol.
