A few questions about specifics on exploring

Hey folks
I have 2 things I'd like to ask
1. The other day I dropped in to the zurara mega ship. I noticed that it came up on my navigation panel. Name and everything. Everything else was unexplored. I had never been there before. What other things will show up on the nav panel (left side panel)?

2. I recently learned about hunting for poi's. At about 12k ly out from the bubble I cant find any. They do exist this far out correct? Are there specific criteria to find them out this far?

I did search the forum,but didn't find the answers I was looking for.

They don't spawn that far from the bubble. I'm 30 Kylies away and haven't seen any for ages. I have no idea if this will change with 2.4. Same for the POIs on the surface like crashed ships or nav beacons. After a certain distance they don't spawn.

1. anything qualified as a POI shows up in 1000 ls. res, tourist beacons, ... ancient ruins. some pois only show up in that proximity after you have scanned them previously from your srv, which requires to find them in the first place, like barnacles and thargoid sites.

2. afaik it's proximity to the closest inhabited system... but it has changed so often since horizons was introduced, i'm not sure about the current implementation. after horizon, pre-engineers it took me 30 minutes to find a poi 27 k ly from sol.

The limit for randomly generated surface POIs now seems to be about 20k LY from Sol with a smaller radius around Colonia. The chance of finding them decreases with distance from Sol / Colonia - easy to find a few LY out, extremely rare as you get towards the limit.

When Horizons first came out they littered every single landable planet in the galaxy which rather destroyed any idea that we going where no one had been before!

It would be great if the had really rare poi out there that were really rare and worth a fortune or had cool rare items for finding them
