Community Event / Creation A few questions about the ingame fiction.

I see that there are 3 "sides:" Empire, Federation, and Alliance. Bu Alliance is not really a proper side - there are no "rank progression" missions for instance (or am I wrong on that?) Both Empire and Federation are pretty totalitarian and they both support slavery pretty massively. I don't want to ally myself with slavers. So I can't really side with Empire or Federation. So Alliance it is, but it seems they're not really a fully fleshed out "side."

Am I missing something or is that the state of the ingame fiction? Choose between 2 basically identical, horrible, totalitarian sides?

AFAIK the Alliance progression missions will come in time.

The Federation does not support slavery as such. But as it's representation of the todays and so called "democracy", yes, all the Federation members are slaves (corporate ones

) apart from the powers that be.

There was an ingame News Story about the Federation wanting to stop unregulated slavery. Thus regulated slavery seems to be ok in the Fed?

No, slave trade is an illegal activity in Federal jurisdiction.

Ok, thank you for the replies. Perhaps I'll do some Fed rank stuff as I do have it available due to where I started. (Though I'm all the way over in Lave now... Heh.)
