A few words on PvP state of this game

I think, some sad things have to be said.

FD is destroying PvP in this game, along with online gameplay conception.
They are listening to ppl who are weak, scared, or too casual to face reality outside of solo mode & black list.

Atm, there is, and probably will never be any sort of the challenge, at all.
Which means this game is dead.

What can be compared to an opportunity to fight a REAL player? None of the NPCs, even the most ultimately harder, will never make competition to a HUMAN.

At the moment, this game is 99% PVE game, which is quite shameful and sad.

I've just no words to describe all the despair and hopelessness once i found how much FD is killing and denying PvP in such a great game like Elite: Dangerous.

And also, there are thousands of ppl who are looking with sceptic on Star Citizen, making E: D as an example. They are all waiting for December to get into this game.

I can't even imagen how deeply frustrated will be them, once they will discover things above.

So this small segment from possible future player base of max 10-20% of old Elite franchise fanboys, is currently crying and making Braben take it easier, safe and casual.

A shame.

IMHO.

FD really just wanted to make a single-player game with some multiplayer play with friends. They really should have advertised it as such, because advertising it as an online game implies player against player competition. If this was single-player from the start, and advertised as such, we wouldn't be having these problems.

I would personally prefer this to be a competitive online-only game, but that is not going to happen. It is more akin to the X-series of space games, except with a little bit of multiplayer thrown in

Your really just blowing hot air and trolling. The problems are down to un/badly implemented mechanics at the moment which I expect to improve significantly at some point.

Oh good. Another thread complaining about the state of PvP. I was starting to worry that there weren't enough already :p

I disagree with you OP. I think they made a good call setting the game up as is. I also think there will be far more people playing in the "all" mode than in the others due to the way the bounty system is set up.

OP, are you complaining that there aren't enough ways to engage in exciting dogfights with other players in combat areas? Or that players whom aren't great pilots, whom just want to fly their hauler from station to station in non-anarchy systems, aren't forced to be fodder for griefers?

Ok, at the end of the day this is DB's business decision to make.

However, then FD should be more transparent in their advertising and not use the word "MMO" for a single player centric game. Specifically, there should be a visible disclaimer on the "about the game" page that this game does not offer support for proper PVP, clans or player-based communities whatsoever.
