If you have seen the movie and remember the scene when he left his house, running away... something similar happened to me yesterday. I was planning to leave the bubble towards the end of the year, but there was no schedule, whatsoever.
So I loaded the game, contemplating what to do, and thought: why not leave now? So I left in a fully kitted/armed multirole Corvette, 20ly jumprange, and I'm already 1000ly away towards Colonia. I'm planning to fly along the stations and consider what to do next when I arrive to Jaques. I've stored lots of modules so that I'll be able to re-fit my Vette for somewhat better jumprange.
I haven't decided yet what to do once I arrive. I'll probably check out the neighborhood and hang around hoping that Q1 update won't be end of March. But whenever it hits or it will be scheduled, I'll probably take a deep dive into the Galactic Core.
