A Full Squadron of NPC Eagles

A Full Squadron (or two?) of NPC Eagles sitting a couple of kilometers out from George Lucas Station in Leesti

27 of them holding formation, with a few Vipers too to round out the numbers

When I saw the cluster on the scope they were unresolved contracts and looked like a canister cloud.
I went over to have a look and..

A Mustering group for a war or something?

They were not in a Wing (as in an in game Wing, not a Wing as in Several Squadrons)

They are learning, imitating us.

Hanging around stations waiting for some PvP action. :O

Or maybe they're there to stop the ramming of innocent CMDRs.

They might have been playing PP beta but couldn't decide who to support or if they really wanted to loose rep.

Random NPCs
They belonged to the controlling faction but were not System Authority or System Defense ships.

You know how that would work out. You attack one and suddenly everybody is in a Wing and attacks you.

Same thing happened to me recently with sidewinders. They all just floated there doing nothing, asif waiting for the right time to strike my unarmed exploration vessel... I left quickly.
