A funny thing happened on the way to the asteroid ring...

I've got myself a nice little mining spot, about 600Ly outside the bubble.
I jump my FC out there, spend a couple of days and then hop back to the bubble when there's other stuff I have to do.

I decided to go and have a session of mining so I plotted a jump and then toddled off to do real-world stuff for a couple of hours.

Got back, swapped into my T10, bought limpets, undocked and...

Wait, this doesn't look right.

HOOONNNNKKK!
Rumble, rumble, rumble.
FC disappears into hyperspace.

Wait, what?

Turns out, my FC hadn't actually made the jump I plotted, cos I left the game on the "Carrier Management" screen.
So, now I'm stuck in the bubble, 600Ly from my FC, flying a T10 with a 25Ly jump-range and no fuel scoop.

I can either call my FC back or I can dock at a station, store some of my mining kit, buy a fuel-scoop and then go chasing after my FC.
Both of which will mean it's about an hour before I can actually get to where I intended to be.

So, erm, yeah.

It might be nice if FDev sorted it out so your FC still jumps when you're on the Carrier Management screen or the game automatically quits out of the Carrier Management screen prior to a jump or a jump is cancelled if the jump doesn't happen as intended.

Personally I always stay with the Carrier whilst its set to jump. I'll be in the hangar. I might be afk or in galmap etc but I don't log out.
Basically you've learned a lesson I too did exactly the same thing. I just went n filled up my then cutter with tritium, which made me feel better about the balls up, and went off chasing the damn thing
