Side note: you could theoretically use more than one "shift" button if you feel you're short of controls on your current/preferred setup. I actually broke down and did that on my X52 - in addition to the pinky trigger, I ended up setting aside the throttle's clutch ("i") button as a second shift button. Now I've managed to map just about everything to the buttons and/or hats...
