A grand idea of a space USSR and XL landing pads

We have the ability to make new stations and colonies and build infrastructure and entire economy’s
but what if we went a step further and let the players have ownership of the colony’s and with that then order your built up colony’s
to design and build XL shipyards gather fleets and invade other colonies making a empire ,capital ships and doing diplomacy with other player colonies possible or just give the ability to fund a revolution to give you control over the system entirely.

the main idea is to allow the player base to build new stations or colonies that have the infrastructure for a new class of ship either developed independently based on leaked designs you have to steal or develop them yourself with a large population and tax revenue used to pay a scientific branch of government to basically make the same thing with difference being you can’t mod a capital ships internals without owning a XL shipyard this will give old players something to do and new players something more to look forward to it wouldn’t be easy but would be fun.

For instance I would love to make a communist space empire that I can start from scratch and build up to a 5 or 6 system empire

I just want XL capital grade ships in elite dangerous

It sounds like a great concept for a strategic space management resource building type of game.

I am not sure I see enough connection to this game to be a problem as long as you don’t borrow too many names and designs.

The Architect kind of has partial ownership as the building manager / designer.

They could add XL-sized shipyards.

This is done via Powerplay which is a bit indirect and convoluted atm. Players can also undermine other systems and change the controlling faction.

I'd like the ability to order a shipyard in a colony to build capital ships too. Diplomacy is done via Powerplay or maybe between player groups.

The System Architect is primarily a building manager, not a ruler of the colony. System Colonization is more like Sim City and Cities Skylines. However, I think more ruler-abilities to shape the economy and security by giving executive orders would be great.

This is at odds with game design to date. No I don't want a system where some tryhards can group up and steal stuff from other players that had to spend hours suffering the hauling gameplay loop. That's a different game and has no place being retrofitted into ED.
