A great vid for those who don't have VR but are curious what it's like

I just ran across this really old vid of a guy playing the tutorials in VR. It's a bit long and I didn't watch the whole thing, but I absolutely love his reactions early on in the video. "omg... what have they done?" while he's looking at the planet and stuff.

Anyhow, figured I'd share because it definitely captures a lot of the "Wow" factor that I think many of us experience when we play like this.

I remember my first forays in VR, almost got destroyed in the station as i spent that much time looking around in awe..
later wondered what all the fuss about the mailslot is about, because in VR its massive.

I know what it looks like, but only from a landing pad. I never had the opportunity to really 'play' the game through VR. Hasn't anyone ever thought or even tested, that what happens to the mailslot might also increase the hitboxes?

Nothing happens to the mailslot. It's just that you can judge depth, distance and scale due to binocular vision - so it's easier to get a sense of your ship relative to it, so easier to avoid hitting things.

Sadly, no video on a monitor will ever show that.
