On streams I saw taiga and thundra rocks which probably means game will have these two biomes. Taiga biome have pretty nice selection of animals like wolverine, moose, raindeer etc. I guess at least one of those animals could be in the game. Also I saw an icon for what it looked like desert biome. Could bactrian camels represent that biome?

I bet that when the game is through being supported with new content and DLC, theres going to be well over 100 species of animals.
In the IGN Video it was the latest mention. They actually communicated almost right from the beginning as well, though.
