A Half Loop and 'hold/stop' track piece in a Roller Coaster

Hello PC,
I'm trying to recreate the coaster Baron 1898 in your game. A dive coaster.
After the cart leaves the station it moves to a piece of scenery and there's a small show being played, for the story line of the coaster, while the cart stands still.
(Example, starts at 15 seconds)

Is there in any way possible to add such a 'hold/stop' track in a coaster? And maybe with a timer that you can adjust yourself (If you want a 2 second stop, or 10)

Also, I notice there is no way to create a half loop in a roller coaster, i'm trying everything i can but it doesn't seem to work. The only thing I can get is a track going up vertically. And it goes only one way with the coaster creator tool.

This is an example that I want to achieve.

So that kinda is my suggestion to add to coasters. I really hope you guys will read this and maybe consider doing it.

This game is amazing, it has been a long time I enjoyed a game as much as this one.

Kind regards,
Richard

I agree that both of these things would be a nice addition, it should be said however that the coaster builder is not complete and probably won't be for a little while yet while they iron things out.

Specifically for your Baron 1898 recreation however, if I'm not mistaken the element your picture is of is an immelmann loop and there is a tutorial you can find here on how to build an immelmann/dive loop in the current alpha build. It's not the best solution in the world but it'll do for now. Hope that was helpful and good luck with the recreation! :)

It's also very important though that we ask for things now while it's still in early development. Nothing should be assumed [happy]

Thanks, I´ll try this for now.
You would say a half loop should be in the game already, since they added so many loops and curves.. Guess they oversaw this one

Yes, but it's important to offer suggestions now rather the complain that these features were never implemented after the game is fully developed.

No problem and just to clarify I 100% agree on having a separate half loop piece - I build a lot of rollercoasters in RCT2 and the half loop is one of my most frequently used pieces - it's super useful. Still it's very important to note that this game is months off release so it's entirely possible that they're implementing this still - I mean all of the inversions are still kinda broken right now so I just hope they fix that before adding lots of new track pieces lol.

Woo, I actually got it working! It was quite difficult and it's still rusty and harsh at some spots. I have to be careful with the smooth tool since it smooth-ens the parts that I don't want to have smooth :D
Thanks again
